Tan Sri sponsors umrah package for employees
MUAR: Five loyal and long-serving workers of Leong Hup Holdings Bhd received free umrah packages to Mecca from the company's executive director Tan Sri Francis Lau Tuang Nguang.
The workers – Othman Hashim, 49, Aida Jalil, 47, Normah Abdul Rahman, 48, Abdul Rahim Ismail, 47, and Noraini Arib, 42, – left for Mecca on Thursday.
Lau said he decided to sponsor umrah packages for long-serving staff after he received the Tan Sri award from the Yang di-Pertuan Agong last year.
“I felt grateful to God for the award and regard it as an honour not only to me but to my workers as well.

Lau said he planned to send eight workers to Mecca this year, and started with five, adding that the others would go soon.
“All I ask of them is to pray for their good health, and if they have the time, to pray for my health and the company's good fortune as well, he added.
