Free movies as prizes
LUCKY participants of Penang Starwalk 2009 can look forward to getting free tickets to movies (with asterisks) at the Golden Screen Cinemas in Gurney Plaza, Penang.
GSC Gurney Plaza location marketing executive Kevin Choe said GSC was sponsoring 300 movie tickets worth RM3,000 for the Dec 13 walk.
He said the movies (subject to change) would include ‘The Princess And The Frog’, ‘Astroboy’, ‘Fantastic Mr Fox’, ‘The Twilight Saga: New Moon’, ‘A Christmas Carol’, ‘Julie & Julia’ and ‘Senario The Movie Episode 2: Beach Boys’.

Penang Starwalk 2009, jointly organised by Star Publications (M) Bhd and the Penang Amateur Athletics Association, is divided into competition and non-com-petition categories with both covering 10km.
The registration fee is RM8 for non-competition walkers and RM12 for competition walkers. All participants will receive a T-shirt and a goodie bag. Those who complete the walk within two hours will also be eligible for a lucky contest.
Competition walkers will be flagged off at 7am by Yang di-Pertua Negri Tun Abdul Rahman Abbas from the Penang Inter-national Sports Arena (Jalan Mahsuri) while non-competition walkers will start the walk at 7.30am from SMK Raja Tun Uda in Jalan Tengah.
Registration is open from 9.15am to 5pm on weekdays, except public holidays, at the Star Northern Hub at 202, Jalan Sultan Azlan Shah in Bayan Lepas or the newspaper’s George Town office at 15, Jalan Masjid Kapitan Keling. Registration booths will also be set up next to the ground floor information counters of Queensbay Mall and Aeon Jusco in Bandar Perda from 11am to 7pm this Saturday and Sunday. Entry forms can be downloaded from http://thestar.com.my/starwalk. The closing date for entries is Nov 13.
