Calling young football talents for reality programme
YOUNG aspiring footballers now have a chance to take part in a new reality programme in search of football talents.
A collaboration between Astro Ria (Channel 104) and Kraft Foods, Tiger Futbol Starz embraces the fun element which hopes to provide aspirations to children aged between seven and 12 years to become champions.
“Our main objective is to provide a different flavour in our local content and programme format on our platform,” said Astro Ria manager Khairul Mizan Shagul.
This football reality programme is targeted for family viewing as it also focuses on training the young participants to work in a team and build leadership skills within the group.
Various daily life elements will be portrayed in the programme as this is the main substance in every reality programme.
Erra Fazira: To host the Tiger Futbol Starz reality programme on Astro Ria. According to Kraft Foods Malaysia & Singapore general manager Dieter Schulz, the programme is all about giving children the platform and avenue to unleash their potential.
“We want to try to equip children with a basic understanding of football skills and, at the same time, the importance of having the right nutrition and sufficient energy to do their best.
“By getting youngsters from different backgrounds to interact together while facing a series of demanding and challenging football tasks, we hope to nurture the spirit of cooperation and team-building, in line with the 1Malaysia values which will stand them in good stead throughout their lives.”
Tiger Futbol Starz reinforces the brand core values of “As Strong as Tiger”, which teaches children to eat healthy food and adopt good values of fair play and teamwork.
Auditions kicked off at Padang Tasik Titiwangsa in Kuala Lumpur on Oct 31. Auditions will also be held from 7am till 5pm at:
·Padang Merdeka Perbandaran Berjaya, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah (Nov 7);
·Dataran Merdeka Kuching, Sarawak (Nov 14);
·Padang Kolej Sultan Abdul Hamid Alor Setar, Kedah (Nov 21);
·Padang USM Pulau Pinang (Nov 22); and
·Dataran JB Johor Baru, Johor (Nov 28)
Tiger Futbol Starz is open to Malaysian children aged between seven and 12 years.
Those interested in taking part will have to attend the audition dressed in sports attire, accompanied by a parent or guardian.
They must bring along a passport-size photograph as well as their identification card (MyKID / MyKAD) as proof of registration.
Those who bring along a pack of any Tiger biscuits during registration will be entitled to a special Tiger merchandise item.
The best 21 players who are selected will be enrolled into the “Akademi Tiger Futbol Starz” in Casa MSN for a two-week session of intensive training and challenges.
The best three players from the group will each win RM10,000 and be enrolled into the most prestigious sports school in the country — Sekolah Sukan Bandar Penawar.
The 12-episode reality programme will be hosted by artiste and the new exclusive face of Astro, Erra Fazira.
