Campaign ends in style
WATSONS Personal Care Stores Sdn Bhd marked the conclusion of another successful chapter of its signature Great Brands, Great Value (GBGV) campaign in grand style recently by hosting an exciting one-day Health, Beauty and Fitness workshop at the Sunway Convention Centre in Petaling Jaya.
The focal point of the GBGV campaign is a strategic collaboration between Watsons and popular health, wellness and beauty brands available at its stores in coming out with amazing value and innovative offers as a way to thank its business partners and customers for their support.
Make me beautiful: Participants getting a make-over at the workshop. According to Watsons Malaysia marketing and development director Jessica Ng, customers constantly want more than just great products that meet their needs; they also want value for money. It was to meet this expectation among its customers that Watsons, together with its business partners, had developed the GBGV campaign.
“Great value is not just about price, but also the additional benefits that customers can obtain; better customer service; more advice through beauty advisers; makeovers in our stores and during our on-ground activities.
“The GBGV Campaign is part of Watsons’ ongoing efforts, primarily to give value to our customers and thank our loyal business partners. It is a true test of the positive collaboration of our valued business partners in delivering something unique to the consumer, which is only available at Watsons,” Ng said.
This year’s Great Brands, Great Value campaign, themed “Gotta Have It”, celebrated Great Hair, Great Body, Great Looks and Great Skin. For the campaign, Watsons teamed up with seven of its best-selling brands that are synonymous with beauty and grooming, namely Sunsilk, Maybelline, Playboy, Olay, Bio Essence, Nivea and Neutrogena.
The Watson GBGV “Gotta Have It” Campaign was launched on Oct 1 and drew to a close on Oct 28, with the workshop held on Nov 1.
Throughout the promotional period, customers were not only able to buy the products of the participating brands at considerable discounts, they were also eligible for a host of other exciting value-added offerings, including free samples and purchase-with-purchase promotions.
At the workshop, guests and participants were treated to remarkable free offers, as well as beauty tips and makeovers by beauty experts specially brought in by the participating brands.
They could also enjoy the numerous activities, beauty and fitness shows, beauty demonstrations, lucky draws, kids’ games and activities at the stage area throughout the day-long event.
Visitors were also entertained with a fitness dance performance by award-winning fitness guru and trainer Candi Soo, a hair show by the acclaimed Lifestyle Design Salon of LimKokWing University’s Hair Academy, and even a kickboxing demonstration by 20 students of renowned martial arts teacher Jak Othman.
