Quick lunch for the business crowd
By JADE CHAN
Chef’s recommendations: Seow carving the Lemon-Rosemary Roasted Whole Chicken. Also seen here is the Peppered Roasted Eye of Beef. Seow’s personal recommendations are the roasted meats and salads. THE Carvery “Biz Talk” Lunch promotion featured at Oswego Bar.Wine, Impiana KLCC Hotel & Spa, is set to appeal to busy executives and business people on the go.
The promotion offers a quick lunch in a setting that is ideal for a quick business talk or meeting.
“The idea is that the business people can get out of the office environment to have a discussion in a more relaxed setting here,” said Impiana’s executive chef, Steven Seow.
“It was initiated by the hotel’s owner and introduced in early April. We’re targeting the business crowd from the offices that are located around our hotel.”
He said the promotion, which focused mainly on light Western fare, offered value for money.
The buffet spread placed around the bar counter features a selection of salads, breads and desserts, as well as soup.
Seow noted that with the current trend for a balanced diet and lifestyle, the salad section would offer diners a wider choice of salad composition that was still healthy.
“We have three types of greens and a tossed salad that are featured on a permanent basis, and five types of prepared salads every day,” he said.
“We also offer about 10 types of dressings and condiments for diners to ‘mix and match’ with.”
The salads include Baby Spinach with Orange, Shredded Chicken and Hazelnut-Lime Dressing, Lamb Salad with Minted Mayo and Eggs, Broccoli with Almond and Raspberry Dressing, Mediterra-nean Barley and Eggplant Salad with Mint, Fruit Salad with Yogurt and Nuts, Marinated Mushroom Salad with Herbs, Greek Salad with Black Beans, and Grilled Eggplant and Capsicum Salad.
The dressings feature Watercress-Coriander Pesto, Raspberry-Honey-Ranch, Lemon-Anchovy, Balsamic and Carrot-Caraway, while the condiments comprise Sunflower Seeds, Dried Apricots, Sun-Dried Tomatoes, Croutons and Capers.
Over at the carving trolley, diners can try the Lemon-Rosemary Roasted Whole Chicken with Mushroom-Soubise Sauce, or Peppered Roasted Eye of Beef with Grand Venuer-Marmalade Gravy.
Both the roasted dishes are accompanied with Sweet Onion and Parmesan Potato Mash, and Buttered Vegetables.
At the salad section: Oswego Bar.Wine’s Carvery ‘Biz Talk’ Lunch promotion highlights a wide variety of salads, as well as dressings and condiments. The desserts include seasonal fresh fruits and bite-sized treats like Pear and Chocolate Clafoutis, Berry Trifle, Green Tea Eclair, Pumpkin and Sweet Potato Roulade, Rockmelon Basil Pureed with Honey, Nutmeg and Cream Panna Cotta, All-Grain Yogurt Cheese Cake, Apple-Rhubarb Pie with Oat Crumble, and Banana-Cinnamon Pie.
The Carvery “Biz Talk” Lunch menu is rotated daily, with key items like the roasted meats served every day.
The buffet lunch is priced at RM28++ per person.
It is served from noon till 2.30pm, from Mondays to Fridays.
