Radio station on a RM60,000 headhunt
Immediate vacancies are available at the LiteFM radio station for Malaysians with a reasonable level of general knowledge and a passion for the best 80’s music.
To be part of LiteFM’s RM60,000 Headhunt campaign, interested listeners can submit their resumes on www.litefm.com.my.
From Aug 3, every workday between 9am and 6pm, the announcer on duty will call a potential candidate hourly.
The candidate is then assigned a research task on a generic subject and given a minimum of 30 minutes to arm him or herself with as much information as possible related to it.
Assigned subjects will range from Ecology to Economy or even Greek Mythology.
Once their time is up, the announcer will call the candidates back and evaluate their work. They will need to answer a question based on the subject. If they are correct, they will get their first paycheck. Wrong, they’re ‘fired’!
In the following hours, the cycle continues with ‘hired’ candidates vying for an hourly increment by successfully completing subsequent assignments. Should they fail at any stage; the station will recruit a new candidate.
At the end of the campaign, at 6pm on Aug 14, the best performing employee, i.e. the person who has stayed on the payroll the longest during the contest period, will be announced as the ‘Best Performing Employee’ and automatically eligible for a performance bonus of RM10,000!
