Lat’s lovable characters brought to life at shopping mall
IN TRUE muhibbah spirit, shoppers at Suria KLCC can balik kampung with one of the nation’s most beloved icons – Lat’s Kampung Boy.
Catch the cheeky but charming child and his friends in action amid a traditional kampung setting at the mall’s centre court.
Preparing for Raya in the kampung: Celebrate Raya with Lat’s Kampung Boy at Suria KLCC. These unforgettable characters are brought to life in various scenes, preparing for the Raya celebrations, in larger-than-life drawings by none other than Lat himself.
“Lat’s cartoons capture the essence of Malaysian life and the spirit of muhibbah. That’s the kind of excitement we want to create for our customers,” Suria KLCC campaign marketing and communication senior manager Zurinah Hasan said.
Also taking place throughout the festive period are musical performances, ranging from Malay Asli to keroncong and ronggeng.
Special kiosks have also been set up to offer a range of Raya goodies, from cookies to clothing and accessories.
Festive look: The pretty Raya decorations at Suria KLCC. To further add to the joyous atmosphere, customers stand a chance to win a trip to Abu Dhabi, thanks to Air Asia and Citibank.
Every RM100 spent entitles customers to one contest entry and free festive packets, while for every RM300 they spend, they will receive a limited-edition Lat collectible and coffee vouchers.
As part of Suria’s annual charity event, underprivileged children from Rumah Anak Yatim Baitul Ummah will be treated to a shopping spree and a special breaking of fast celebration.
