BI-ANNUAL fashion magazine Hanger, with its latest Spring Summer 2010 edition, was launched in high style at Luna Bar in Kuala Lumpur attended by a slew of celebrities recently.
A party was thrown high up in the air on the 33rd floor of Menara Pan Global where the bar is located, under clear evening skies and the signature open-air pool.
Guests were dressed to the nines and in tune with the event’s theme ‘Suck My Candy’, with pretty pastel and candy hues as wardrobe colours of choice.
Under clear skies: guests partied away at Luna Bar for the launch of the Hanger Spring/Summer 2010 Edition. The event started rather late but guests who arrived earlier were obviously having a gala time sipping on fashion-themed cocktails mixed by Absolut, Martell and Chivas while helping themselves to the finger food that was served.
The evening’s emcee was celebrity fashion blogger Joyce Wong aka KinkyBlueFairy, who started by introducing a fashion show featuring Reebok and Vans’ latest Spring and Summer 2010 lines to kick things off.
Styled by Hanger contributor Calvin Cheong, models paraded down a custom-built runway that traversed the pool.
The night’s entertainment was provided by Juice DJ Quest 2008 winner, Anowl, who spinned a selection of dubstep tunes.
He later passed the controls over to this issue’s Hanger cover girl and Malaysian supermodel Azura, who marked her return behind the decks as a deejay after a long hiatus.
A stellar cast of guests were spotted mingling in the invite-only crowd. Among them were Joe Flizzow, Arabyrd, Serena C, MizzNina, Noh from Hujan, Azwin Andy from Estranged, Melissa Indot, DJ Goldfish, DJ Blink and DJ Bunga from Twilight Actiongirl. From the fashion world, the guests present were Irene See from fashion label Chic Yamada, Justin Yap of multi-brand store Materiél, Yasmin and Cho from PU3, Eleanor Ng from Kitsch boutique, Michelle from Muffstit and Sueann Chong from fashion blog site Tongue in Chic.
Other attendees include fashion designers and stylists Cris Yong and Allien Gan, whose work also appears in this issue of Hanger.
The magazine is published by Catcha Lifestyle Publications Sdn Bhd and brought together by the same team behind Juice. It is retailed at RM10 at newstands.
