Nescafe’s famous mug gets gold treatment for contest

NESCAFE’s famous red mug will turn gold next month for the coffee brand’s latest contest.
The Nescafe Gold Mug contest will offer coffee lovers in Malaysia the golden oppurtunity to win prizes totalling more than RM380,000, including a Nescafe mug made of gold and daily prizes.
Participants will have to count the number of mugs in the contest entry form, which will be available at petrol marts, hypermarkets, supermarkets and small sundry stores nationwide as well as at the official Nescafe website www.nescafe.com.my
Participants need to provide the required personal details and submit the form along with the necessary proof of purchase —sachets, pierced tabs, outer packs or jar labels of the Nescafe products listed in the contest entry form.

Each completed and qualified entry form will be assigned one to five serial numbers, depending on the attached proof of purchase, which will put them in the running for the daily and main prizes.
The contest will run for 13 weeks where a total of 92 sets of Nescafe Gold Mug pendant and chain worth RM3,000 will be given out every day.
Five finalists will then be selected for the last stage and the chance to compete for the exclusive golden mug.
The grand prize winner will go home with the Nescafe Gold Mug worth RM100,000 while four consolation prize winners will each receive RM1000 cash.
Nestle products Sdn Bhd business executive director (coffee and beverages business unit) Don Howat said the company was grateful for the continuous support from the Malaysian consumers throughout the years.
“This contest is a fun way for them to win prizes worth their weight in gold,” he said.
The Nescafe Gold Mug contest will run from Oct 1 to Dec 31 2010 and is open to Malaysians aged 18 and above.
