Teeing off for a good cause
THE Lions Club Subang Jaya (LCSJ) will be organising the 18th Charity Golf championship, to raise funds for charity, at the Mines Golf and Country Resort on Dec 2.
Organising chairman Datuk Wenddi Anne Chong said they were looking forward to raising funds for various charitable causes such as Hospice Malaysia, the National Kidney Foundation and the National Aids Foundation.
“The success of our project is credited largely to the golfers and sponsors who will contribute their time, money and resources in the interest of charity,’’ said Wenddi.
This year, the tournament will see funds being raised mainly for the handicapped community.
The funds will be used to help provide them with tools such as prosthetic limbs, wheel chairs, specialised Braille equipment, and computers to aid them in their daily lives.
Golfing enthusiasts who wish to participate in this charity golf tournament are encouraged to register by now.
