Chef shows it’s more than just cocoa
New taste: Salty Sweet and coffee. CHOCOLATE aficionados will be delighted to know that renowned premium Japanese confectioner Royce is teaming up with skill-sharing platform CultureRun and local personality Brian Chen to organise the first-of-its-kind chocolate workshop series in Malaysia.
Chen is better known as the Chef In The Hat.
The workshop is intended to acquaint participants more intimately with the various flavours of chocolates as well as their versatility in producing mouth-watering desserts.
A skill: Wine pairing with chocolate. The workshop series includes hands-on cooking classes with recipes inspired by flavours present in the brand’s chocolate range as well as beverage pairing classes where participants are taught which drink will better accompany the chocolate types.
Together with venue partner Ben’s Independent Grocer at Publika, where all events will be held, each workshop will be limited to 20 participants.
The first workshops will be at 3pm on Sunday with Dessert: Fruity & Nutty at Masak-Masak, and on Oct 20 with Dessert: Salty/Sweet & Coffee, also at Masak-Masak.
The last workshop will be on Nov 2 with Drinks: Red Wine Pairing from 7pm to 8pm at Masak-Masak.
Interested participants are required to pay a registration fee of RM80 per class and must reserve a seat via www.culturerun.com.
