Two-hour performance dazzles guests at Subang hotel
THE Grand Dorsett Subang Hotel Kuala Lumpur hosted a lion dance performance to usher in the Year of the Dragon on Feb 1.
The two-hour dance performance started with the troupe performing acrobatics on stilts in the foyer in an amazing display of balance and agility.
This was followed by performances inside the hotel with the lions visiting the lobby, the Premier Lounge on the 16th floor, and the general manager’s office.
Here you go: Premier Lounge manager Nancy Muunig receiving oranges from the lions. At each stop, the lions received pomelos, Mandarin oranges, ang pow, and a round of applause from excited spectators.
In turn, the lions also handed out Mandarin oranges to amused onlookers.
The lions also blessed the offices of various departments like that of the operations manager, food and beverage, finance, sales, housekeeping and human resources, much to the delight of the hotel’s staff.
Grand Dorsett’s restaurants were included in the festivities, with the lions also paying a call on the Emperor Chinese Restaurant, Terazza Brasserie, Miyako Japanese Restaurant as well as the Aroma Cafe.
