Crime prevention campaign
The Malaysian Crime Prevention Foundation (MCPF) together with the Johor Police are organising a Programme Desa Selamat event at Dataran Ledang in Tangkak today at 7.30am. There will be an array of events including the 1 Malaysia Dance, Zapin, T-Baton demonstration, silat and a performance from the police dog unit. There will also be a public forum and display booths at the event.
Night zoo
The Nite Zoo at Taman Teruntum in Kuantan where the public can get to view nocturnal animals and animal shows such as crocodiles and snakes are new exciting activities to explore with your friends and family. The grand show today carries the theme ‘Animation World’ to amuse vicitors from 8pm-11pm. Entrance fee is RM2 for adult and RM1 for children.
Blood donation drive
The Puteri Lagoon Johor Baru Rotary Club in collaboration with Mutiara Hotel is organising a blood donation campaign to replenish the supply at the Sultan Ismail Hospital blood bank. The event will be held between 10am to 5pm at Sri Panti Hall on Level 2 of the Mutiara Johor Barutoday. For details contact 07-3300300.
Charity dinner
The Malacca Pay Hwa Primary School is holding a Charity Dinner and Dancetoday, at 7pm at Lu Yeh Yen Restaurant, Taman Kota Laksamana to raise funds for underprivileged students and a new hall. Public exhibition
Experience some peculiarity by visiting Malacca Museum Corporation (Perzim) Towards Eternity - Coffin Exhibition at the Malay & Islamic World Museum, Jalan Kota until July 22. Members of public in Pahang are welcome to Kuantan Fest which will be held on May 31 at the MPK4’s field, Kuantan where many exciting activities to join in.
Photo contest
Capture what is Johor in a photo competition and walked away with RM3,000 in a photo competition organised by Pinewood Iskandar Malaysia and Iskandar Regional Development Authority (Irda). The competition, themed Johor in Focus, hopes to attract professional or amateur photographers to capture what is Johor all about.
