A FATHER would be very happy if he has someone whom he can share his hobbies with.
Abdul Rashid Ismail, 53, of Kampung Tasik Permai, Ampang, is pleased that his three sons shared the same hobby which is being behind the wheels of big bikes.
“I’ve been interested in riding big motorbikes since my younger age but it was until last year that I finally managed to own a motorbike.
“Since then my eldest son, and I have riding our motorbikes touring Malaysia,” said Abdul Rashid who owns a Kawasaki Versys.
Close-knit: Abdul Rashid (centre) with his wife Zakiah Mat Yusoff (right), grandchild and sons Ahmad Salihin (left), Khalis Zuhair (his right) and Irfan Syakir( seated on the floor) surrounded by relatives and friends. In the latest trip in April, his son, Ahmad Salihin, 29, and him joined a convoy to Mersing, Johor.
Besides Ahmad Salihin his two younger brothers, Khalis Zuhair Abdul Rashid, 21, and Irfan Syakir Abdul Rashid, 18, also love big bikes.
“Fathers and sons doing activities together give both a chance to bond and build a relationship.
“I’m lucky and happy that all my sons are sharing the same interest and for me it’s one of the precious gifts ever,” he said.
