Never too busy for The Star
Good deal: Star Publications (M) Bhd marketing representative Christopher James Simon (in red) explaining details to Mohd Iskandar and Azmiyah during the roadshow. CLERICAL assistant Mohd Iskandar Che Ambi always has time to read The Star no matter how busy he is, thanks to the ePaper.
The 35-year-old sports fan said he had less free time lately due to work commitments.
“I have been reading The Star every day for the past 16 years.
“I find the ePaper very useful as I do not have to wait until I get home to read the newspaper.
“Sometimes, I am so busy and caught up with work.
“But I can now read the ePaper during my lunch breaks. All I have to do is take out my smart phone or tablet device to read The Star,” he said.
Mohd Iskandar and his wife, officer Azmiyah Osman, 39, were among those checking out The Star newspaper and ePaper bundle promo- tional package at the roadshow at the LohGuanLye Specialists Centre in Macalister Road, Penang.
Adding that his favourite reads from The Star were political articles, Mohd Iskandar said the ePaper provided him with a more enjoyable experience as he could read whenever and wherever he wished.
“I think this is a really good way to enable those who are always on the go to catch up on the news. The package is also quite affordable,” he said.
Also spotted checking out some promotional brochures were Lai Chwen Min, in her 30s, and her colleague Ling Wan Yean, in her 20s, who both work in the customer service line.
“I travel around quite often and I find that the ePaper is really useful and informative as you get to read it anytime and at any place,” said Lai.
“I don’t have to wait until I get my hands on the hard copy newspaper as I can just use my smartphone,” said Lai who signed up for the package a few weeks ago.
Ling added she was thinking of signing up, considering the package’s affordability which comes with the printed and electronic version of the newspaper.
The roadshow continues at Prangin Mall (1st Floor, in front of VINCCI) from 11.30am to 8pm from today to Saturday .
During the promotion period from May 1 to July 31, the public can subscribe to the package at a special price of RM260, a savings of RM200 compared to the usual newspaper price of RM460 a year.
Subscribers also stand to win a Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus every day.
Subscription forms are available at The Star offices in George Town, Bayan Lepas, Seberang Jaya, Alor Setar and Ipoh.
