BLOOD DONATION
A blood donation station will be set up today at the foyer of Dewan Tun Canselor, Multimedia University in Cyberjaya from 9am to 1pm. There will also be a health talk titled “Sweet Surrender: Am I Diabetic” at the CCU Seminar Room at 10am.
COMMUNITY COACHES
The British Council is offering community coaches around Malaysia, who have a proven commitment to using football for community development, to work with Premier League coaches. The third phase of this programme will take place from Aug 26 - 30 at the Desa Park City Clubhouse. TAARANA OPEN DAY
The Vijayaratnam Foundation is holding an Open Day at Taarana — a school for children with special learning needs — this Saturday at its premises at 82-B, Jalan Awan Jawa 1, Taman Yarl in Kuala Lumpur. The open day, which takes place from 9am to 1pm, offers early intervention programmes for children aged three to four years old, and school programmes for children aged five to 17. TALK ON CANCER SURVIVAL
Organised by non-profit Cansurvive Centre Malaysia Bhd, Datin Paduka Mother A. Mangalam will be giving a talk on cancer survival at the Malaysian Association for the Blind, Jalan Tebing (off Jalan Tun Sambanthan 4) on July 21 from 4pm - 6pm. Cancer patients and their families, as well as medical practicioners and the general public are welcome to attend. REUNION DINNER
The alumni of SMK Dato’ Hamzah will hold a reunion dinner and fundraiser on July 14 at the Klang Executive Club. BON ODORI FESTIVAL
