The Star’s offer is too good to pass up, says reader
IT was love at first sight for Troy Michael, 32, when he stumbled across The Star’s ePaper bundle promotional package.
Although he is an avid reader of The Star, his focus is mainly on the news in the nation section without paying much attention to the promotions and advertisements of the ePpaper, which usually appears in the other sections.
“Actually, this is the very first time I got to know about this promotional package. What I can say is it’s definitely so much cheaper and it’s worth it.
“The ePaper function is another attraction in this package. Because of my schedule, I seldom have time to read the printed version, so I’ll opt for the online version,” he said at The Star booth in Gurney Paragon yesterday.
The assistant general manager of a food outlet here added that ePaper was an extremely advanced technology adopted by The Star.
He was also impressed that The Star had taken such a huge leap in the technology world.
“The Star is becoming more modern and this move will definitely attract the youngsters to start reading news since many of them own a smart device.
“They can also hunt for jobs and get entertainment and sports updates,” he said.
The roadshow continues today and tomorrow at SMK (L) Methodist in Jalan Air Itam during its COOP Day from 10am to 2pm daily.
A roadshow will also be held at the canteen of Renesas Semiconductor Sdn Bhd in Bayan Lepas from 10am to 4pm on Wednesday and Thursday.
During the promotion period ending July 31, the public can subscribe to the package at a special price of RM260, which is a savings of RM200 compared to the usual newspaper price of RM460 a year.
