Make a date with Bieber
FANS will get to see Justin Bieber open the MTV World Stage Live at the Surf Beach in Sunway Lagoon on July 14.
The highly anticipated performance — the only South-East Asia stop on his All Around The World tour — comes hot on the heels of his new full-length album Believe.
Come next Saturday, over 15,000 fans will have the exciting opportunity to witness Bieber’s artistic growth and more mature sound at MTV World Stage Live.
For one evening, “Beliebers”, Korean pop fanatics and supporters of local music will converge at Sunway Lagoon for a night of live performances by Bieber, Jay Park, Kara and Mizz Nina.
Promising fans a World Stage that is the most interactive yet, MTV will not only be sharing exclusive moments with social media followers but empowering the audience to be an integrated part of the music extravaganza this year.
To actively engage the fans, there will be Twitter updates and behind-the-scenes images posted from now, leading to the concert date.
Photos of concert-goers that capture special on-ground mo-ments and uploaded via Instagram on mobile phones will also be selected and showcased on the big screens at MTV World Stage.
Fans only need to follow and use the hashtag #worldstagemy and they could be part of the event on the two social media platforms.
Filmed in high-definition, MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia 2012 will be produced into a two-hour TV show premiering on MTV SEA channel on July 28, 2.30pm (Malaysian time).
An hour-long version will also be broadcast later in the year via MTV’s global network of more than 60 channels in over 150 territories, reaching over 600 million households.
MTV World Stage Live in Malaysia 2012 is sponsored by Sunway Resort City, Lenovo, Xpax, Twisties and Hong Leong Bank, and supported by MyCeb of Tourism Ministry, broadcast partner Astro and radio partners Hitz.fm, Era and MYfm.
Music buffs who have not gotten their concert passes can make their way to the MTV World Stage Road Show to be held at Sunway Pyramid shopping mall this weekend.
MTV VJ Holly and VJ Rich will also be giving away meet-and-greet passes for fans to meet their music idols.
The roadshow promises exciting audience games and is the final chance for fans to win access passes from MTV.
