Fill up balik kampung forms for police patrols
WORRIED about your home becoming a target of burglars when you go back to your hometown during the coming Hari Raya Aidilfitri holidays?
One thing you can do is head straight to the police one-stop centre in Bayan Baru, Penang, to fill up a balik kampung form.
Balik Pulau OCPD Supt Mohd Hatta Mohd Zain said the police would conduct patrols at the residential areas of those who submitted the forms.
“We are also distributing the forms to various residents’ associations for them to give out to those living in their areas,” he told reporters recently.
He was speaking after launching the one-stop centre which is located opposite the TM Point shop in Lintang Mayang Pasir 1.
Some 30 police officers, including representatives from five residents’ associations, attended the event.
The centre was set up by the southwest police district in conjunction with Ops Selamat to be held until Aug 26.
Supt Mohd Hatta said the centre would be manned 24 hours daily by two police officers on three-shift rotation schedules.
