Umno Youth: Seditious messages not our doing
KUALA LUMPUR: Umno Youth has urged the police to investigate those who posted seditious messages on a Facebook page created under the movement’s name.
Barisan Nasional executive secretary Ibdilillah Ishak lodged a police report yesterday on behalf of Umno Youth chief Khairy Jamaluddin.
The administrators of the page, named “Pemuda Umno Malaysia”, posted a photo that claimed that the official religion would be changed from Islam to Christianity should Pakatan Rakyat gain support.
“This was posted by someone irresponsible. It has nothing to do with us,” he said after lodging the report at the Tun H.S. Lee police station yesterday.
The offensive post was removed yesterday although the page remained.
