THE MALAYSIAN Association for the Blind (MAB) is organising a treasure hunt this Saturday.
The seven-hour hunt starts at the MAB Complex in Brickfields and ends in the Makhota Hotel, Malacca.
The objective of the MAB Charity Makan Hunt 2012 is to raise funds for rehabilitation programmes and to improve the current welfare services of the association.
MAB president Datuk Dr Abdullah Malim Baginda said the objective was to inject funds and raise awareness of the MAB’s community-based rehabilitation programmes .
The organisers: (Seated, from left) Ricky Koo, MAB chairman Liew Yoon Loy and Dr Abdullah with the committee members. “So far, 50 cars have confirmed participation and we have reached the initial target but we would like to expand the event to a bigger scale.
“During the hunt, there will be designated ‘pitstops’ for participants,” he said.
Abdullah also said the association welcomed more sponsorship from the public and organisations for the event.
A charity dinner will also be organised upon arrival in Malacca, with special performances and the prize-giving ceremony line-up.
