Treat for shutterbugs
TO all budding photographers out there, head to Photo Fest 2012 organised by Foto President. The event is now back in Penang for the 14th consecutive year.
Dubbed the largest photography fair in the northern region since its inception in 1991, the event will be held at Gurney Plaza’s central concourse area from Aug 30 to Sept 2.
Check out the irresistible offers such as DSLRs, compact digital cameras, video cameras and various other accessories that will be on sale all under one roof from 10am to 10pm.
Participants of the fair include Canon, Nikon, Panasonic, Olympus, Fujifilm, Sony, Samsung, Pentax, Yashica, Tamron, Manfrotto, Sandisk, Cokin, Velbon, Kata, National Geography and Dry Cabinet.
The event will also feature some of the latest camera models such as the Canon EOS M (Canon’s first mirrorless camera) and EOS 5D Mark III, Nikon D800 and D800E, Fujifilm X Pro 1 and X100 Limited Edition, Olympus OMD-EM5 and TG 1, Panasonic GF5 and LX7, Sony F3K, A37, NEX 7, A77 and PJ 600.

Early birds will stand a chance to buy a selected digital camera for RM33 (only one unit per day).
“Visitors should also check out the happy hour and auction sessions for items priced at RM3.30, RM33, RM333 and RM3,333,” Lim added.
There will also be quiz sessions, hip-hop and break dance shows throughout the four days.
