Pressmen bid farewell to DCP Ayub
IT was a bittersweet occasion as about 100 pressmen got together for a buka puasa dinner and also to bid farewell to Penang police chief Deputy Commissioner Datuk Wira Ayub Yaacob.
The dinner was organised by the Penang Press Club and Penang Media Club for DCP Ayub who has been appointed chairman of the National Key Result Area secretariat to monitor the security of the country. He will take up his new post in Bukit Aman next week.
In his speech, DCP Ayub said he had many good friends among the media in Penang.
“I don’t have to worry about getting lost in Penang because I have many friends in the media to help me out,” he said in jest.
He also thanked the media for their cooperation with the police.
