Tenants and staff treated to feast
ABOUT 150 tenants and staffers of the Kompleks Bukit Jambul Joint Management Body enjoyed a buka puasa buffet dinner at Restoran Mun Shang in Kompleks Bukit Jambul, Penang.
Its chairman Chan Kean Hin said: “The dinner is an opportunity for interaction among all staff members and tenants of different races.”
The management also presented a new iPad to one lucky draw winner.
It was the second year that the management organised a buka puasa dinner.
Kumpulan Barkath Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Datuk Seri Barkath Ali Abu Backer presented 3,000 packs to the management.
Pantai Jerejak assemblyman Sim Tze Tzin said Ramadan is a month to establish more mutual understanding between races.
“This is a month of giving. We have to always remember to help the needy,” said Sim, adding that the state government would donate food hampers to 170 poor people in Pantai Jerejak.
Also present was George Town OCPD Asst Comm Gan Kong Meng.
