PHOTO shoot themes are a strong inspiring factor for 21-year-old part-time model Leovine Koh. She feels it is always fun to explore various themes for specific photo shoots.
The model, who is also doing a degree programme in graphic and multimedia at Utar, gets all excited and does research on the themes before going to the set.
Still excited about her last job for a photographer’s portfolio, Koh said the theme for the shoot was inspired by the television show Vampire Diaries, and was shot at a cemetery.
The full-day shoot, saw Koh dressed in a Victorian-style gown with a full corset. She also used other props such as fake blood and fangs to create that intriguing vampirical mystery against the backdrop.
Loves working: Koh is also interested in photography. “It was interesting and I liked the idea because I also have a personal interest in photography. My next photo shoot will be of a Korean theme, and I am already doing research on it.
“For me, it is interesting as each photo shoot is different,” said Koh who was born in Johor but grew up in Penang.
The 165cm lass has a twin sister, who also models. This gives them an added advantage in getting modelling gigs as some clients look for twins as models at events such as launches.
Juggling studies and modelling almost leaves Koh with very little time to herself. While weekdays are taken up by studies, weekends are dedicated for modelling work.
Even then, the tireless young woman still finds time to indulge in various hobbies and interests. For example, she manages an online boutique with her twin, Cathrine.
The boutique offers Korean fashion from clothes to accessories and caters to their group of friends and peers. However, going online has given them a wider base of customers.
With some skills in graphic designing, Koh also freelances for corporate clients.
“I do a lot of things with the network I have created on Facebook. If someone is looking for something, I try to connect them to someone who can help,” she explained.
As far as modelling is concerned, Koh hopes to work with international photographers for more exposure.
“I feel that different people from different countries will have different ways of thinking, so I would like to work with them and challenge myself for personal improvement,” she said.
