Banking group fetes staff and needy children
More than 100 orphans and underprivileged children were feted at the Maybank Group staff Raya open house held at the Menara Maybank, Kuala Lumpur recently.
The children were from Rumah Anak Yatim Damai Kuang, Pondok Penyayang Raudhah and Rumah Amal Limpahan Kasih.
They were entertained by more than 1,500 Maybank staff with special performances.
Time for giving: Megat Zaharuddin (in red baju Melayu) and Abdul Wahid presenting gifts and ‘duit raya’ to orphans attending the open house. Guests were treated to scrumptious Hari Raya delicacies including lemang, ketupat palas, satay, and lamb kabsah rice.
Maybank chairman Tan Sri Megat Zaharuddin Megat Mohd Nor and Maybank president and CEO Datuk Seri Abdul Wahid Omar presented duit raya and gifts to the children.
A few interesting activities were carried out at the event namely, Hide and Seek, Eat and Guess, Best Dressed and ketupat weaving.
At the event, Megat Zaharuddin and Abdul Wahid also officiated the newly renovated staff hawker centre which is named Laman Menara Maybank.
