Vouchers and patches for runners
PARTICIPANTS of the PJ Half Marathon can look forward to some exciting prizes from Bodytone, a first-time sponsor for the event.
Bodytone is offering 10 Personalised Acceleration Training vouchers as well as 40 Group Acceleration Training Class vouchers as prizes.
Bodytone general manager Vincent Mah said their programmes were related to health and fitness. “While standing on the power plate platform, the vibrations create a ‘mini earthquake’. The vibrations are effective in activating the muscles in the body while conducting exercises on it.
Firm up: (from left) Star Publications (M) Bhd advertising sales & business development senior manager Jeanie Chiew receiving the sponsorship from Chan and Mah. “It is popular among women as it helps tone the body and helps in weight loss. We are also looking to expand to one or two more branches early next year,” he said.
Bodytone will be sending a team of 10 trainers and staff to take part in the PJ Half.
“Some of our trainers have taken part in various marathons before,” said Bodytone marketing & PR executive Melissa Chan.
Bodytone studios are located at Bangsar Village II and Solaris Mont Kiara.
For runners who worry about aching muscles and joints, fret not.
No more aches: Delfi Marketing Sdn Bhd assistant product manager (pharmaceutical division) Charis Loh (left) and Star Publications (M) Bhd events communications manager Linda Sharini. Delfi Marketing Sdn Bhd will be on hand to provide Salonpas patches to the participants on race day.
Its assistant product manager Charis Loh said they would be distributing about 10,000 Salonpas patches to the runners to alleviate aching muscles after completing the run.
“We will conduct a spray exercise with our Pain Relieving Salonpas Spray for those warming up before the event.
“We will also be at all water-points as we will be conducting spray exercises as well,” she said.
Salonpas will be setting up a booth promoting their range of products. There will be special promotions on certain products as well.
Salonpas will be sending a team of 55 of their staff members to the PJ Half Marathon.
