Spoilt for choice: Potential buyers examining items at some of the booths at the fair. THOSE who missed out on the hugely popular Perfect Livin’ 13 Home & Lifestyle exhibition in Penang this time around can catch it again in September.
Event organiser i.Star Ideas Factory Sdn Bhd business development director Jason Yap said the exhibition would be held again from Sept 6 to Sept 8.
“So keep the dates free as we are working hard to bring even better deals to those in the northern region.
“Many of the top brands in home appliances, decor and furnishing opt to launch their latest products at Perfect Livin’ 13 Home & Lifestyle exhibitions which are held in various states nationwide.
“So the good deals that are offered at our exhibitions are not clearance items but the latest products in the market,” he said yesterday.
Some 70,000 visitors attended the three-day event which began on Friday at the Subterranean Penang International Convention and Exhi-bition (sPICE) centre (formerly called PISA).
Some 150 exhibitors displayed their wares at the fair.
Yap said the response was very good especially on the last day with people lining up to enter even before the doors were opened at 11am for the freebies and goodie bags.
“Overall, this exhibition features a comprehensive range of products catering to every budget with plenty of cash and carry items but this time around, there are many big names especially for those looking to furnish their kitchens with new cabinets and appliances.
Among the booths that attracted a large crowd were the U-Kang booth as there were live demonstrations of its multi-functional essence extractor from Taiwan.
“It’s a kitchen appliance that purees and cooks jams, kaya, soups and porridge. The user just has to put in the items for blending and turn on the appliance.
“Many of the visitors had never seen a blender that can also cook so they were very interested,” its assistant sales supervisor Sam Lee said.
A civil servant from Indonesia, who wanted to be known only as Dian, said exhibitions like this should be held more often.
“I’m here on vacation with my wife and we are looking for ideas to furnish our home in Acheh.
“As we can’t cart all the big items home, we only bought the little things like wall stickers for our children’s room and some lights,” said the 40-year-old, adding that the quality of the items showcased were good and reasonable priced.
