NAIM Holdings Bhd (Naim) has completed on time 963 units of affordable houses under phase I of Vista Perdana scheme in Permyjaya township, Miri, for Syarikat Perumahan Negara Bhd (SPNB).
Second Finance Minister Datuk Ahmad Husni Mohamad Hanadzlah will hand over the houses to the buyers at a ceremony in Miri today.
Naim senior general manager (projects) R. Sivakumar said the completed houses included 867 units of single-storey terrace houses while the balance was made up of single-storey detached and semi-detached units.
“Vista Perdana, which will be developed in five phases, will comprise 2,603 units,” he told StarMetro yesterday.
All ready: Vista Ilmu is the fist project that Naim Holdings Bhd delivered to SPNB in May last year. Naim was awarded the RM334mil contract for the entire project, which is a mixed development of low-medium and medium-cost houses.
Sivakumar said Naim, which had been awarded three projects by SPNB, was the first contractor in Sarawak to have delivered the project to SPNB.
The company completed the RM90mil Vista Ilmu, which comprises 1,152 units of medium-cost apartments in Kota Samarahan near Kuching for SPNB in May, last year, 12 months ahead of time.
He said Naim was now carrying out the proposed Vista Wawasan project in Sultan Tengah in Kuching for SPNB. The RM200mil project to be undertaken in six phases will have 1,975 units of houses and 44 shophouses.
“The infrastructure work for phase I is now 60% completed,” he added.
