PETALING JAYA: The Government's decision not to take over the Private Member's Bill to amend the Syariah Courts (Criminal Jurisdiction) Act or RU355 shows that Barisan Nasional is professional in handling sensitive issues, said Datuk Seri S. Vell Paari (pic).
The MIC treasurer-general said such a move was a "positive development" as the Bill which seeks to amend the Act has caused unease among the Barisan component parties.
