Remember Aylan Kurdi, the lifeless three-year-old boy, washed ashore on Turkey’s famous Bodrum Beach back in 2015? He was wearing a bright red T-shirt and shorts.

Flash forward to 2018. A two-year-old girl wearing a bright pink shirt was photographed crying in the middle of the night somewhere at the US-Mexico border. Her mother had to put her down when border patrol officers were checking on her.
