Beijing: A survey on reading habits shows that Chinese adults read nearly eight books on average last year and children and teenagers under 17 read nearly nine books, according to a survey by the Chinese Academy of Press and Publication.
The survey, which was released on Wednesday, found that those aged 14 to 17 read the most throughout the year: 11.57 books on average.
