International fare in store for Malacca fans
MALACCA: The Malacca hockey season will get off to an early and exciting start when the second Test match between Malaysia and Belgium is played at the Bukit Serendit Hockey Stadium on Sunday (5pm).
During half time, the Malacca HA will make a presentation of RM3,000 to the National Earthquake and Tsunami Fund while former Malaysian Hockey Federation (MHF) deputy president, Tan Sri P. Alagendra, will receive a souvenir tribute for his long involvement as an administrator of the sport.
More international fare is on the cards at the Bukit Serendit Hockey Stadium on Feb 10.
Malaysia will take on Dutch club Bloemendall in a friendly match, beginning at 5pm.
Earlier in the day, between 10am and 11.30am, Dutch internationals Teun de Nooijer, Karel Klaver, Nick Meijer, Lodewihk de Bruin and Menno Booij will conduct a hockey clinic for junior talent.
On the domestic front, Malacca will host the inaugural National Under-21 meet from Feb 19-27.
