Musicians to raise funds for tsunami victims
SOME of Malaysia's finest musicians are coming together for a musical charity concert organised by music school Music Makers and MSC International College to raise funds for tsunami victims.
The Voices of Hope charity showcase will be held on Feb 2, at MSC International College Theatrette, 10th Floor, Menara Summit, Persiaran USJ1, Subang Jaya.
It will feature not only performances by some of Malaysia's finest artistes – including Nigel A. Skelchy, Ng Chong Lim and Loo Bang Hean – but also junior talents as well as MSC College's very own students.
Tickets to the Voices of Hope showcase performance are available by donation.
Interested organisations are also urged to help in the fund-raising campaign by taking out advertisements in the souvenir programme.
For details, ring Josephine Lim (012-657 1847), Liu Ban Hong (016-272 7546) or Kevin Tang (03-8026 5889 / 012-524 1185).
A helping hand
MOVED by images of suffering and destruction from killer tsunami waves, students and staff of GO Academy held a charity car wash recently at Subang Square to collect funds for the victims.
Led by senior student Clifford Sim, the students of the animation and visual effects school collected a total of RM610 for their effort. They handed the collection over at Menara Star. “We want to do what we can to help and hope this small contribution will be put to good use,” said Clifford.
