Club patrons perform ear squats
PATRONS of an entertainment outlet, including foreigners, poked fun at a police team carrying out a raid at the dance club in Jalan Doraisamy, Kuala Lumpur, on Sunday morning.
Harian Metro reported that the patrons teased the police by performing ear squats just like the woman in the controversial video clip.
During the raid, a young actress wearing a revealing dress threatened to kick press photographers if they tried to take her picture.
A group of reporters and photographers were present at the raid but had not spotted her until they heard her making the threat.
Kosmo! carried a story on the re-arrest of a wanted man.
The 35-year-old suspect was arrested in June for robbing millionaire Datuk Yaakub Muhamad of RM1.5mil in cash and jewellery but escaped from police custody two months later.
Machang police recaptured the suspect in Kuantan following a tip-off on Saturday.
Kelantan CID chief Asst Comm Mohd Razalli Mohd Yusof said police were also investigating the suspect for allegedly robbing a doctor in Panji.
In its world news section, the daily reported that Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan had been released on police bail after admitting that the car he was driving had hit a 13-year-old in Andheri.
The actor, who is the son of Indias former cricket captain Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi and veteran Bollywood actress Sharmila Tagore, was returning home after an MTV shoot when the accident occurred.
According to the report, he had lost control of his car before hitting the child, whom he immediately rushed to a hospital. He is also paying for all of the child's medical cost.
