Cineplexes should consider children
Recently, concurrent with the school holiday, there was a bunch of new films for children.
There’s nothing wrong with them going to the movies, but being children, they may not know or are unable to observe the etiquette of watching movies in cinemas.
This is my suggestion to cinema owners. Cineplexes should reserve one or two cinemas for children (under 7) and their guardians. These cinemas should have easy access to the toilets and exits.
Or, they should position children and their guardians near the aisles for easy exit to go to the toilet, etc. Imagine a child sitting in the middle of a row, needing to ease himself every 15 minutes.
The cinemas for children should be more brightly lit than those for adults. Some children are scared of the dark.
Having a child beside you screaming every time the screen goes dark (and darkens the whole hall) can drive you nuts.
I am hoping, on behalf of other avid move-goers, that cinema managements will consider these suggestions.
The children should not be banned from enjoying movies in cinemas, but they also should not disrupt others. These children are, after all, innocent.
