Enhancing networking between those in Malaysia and Australia
|
“Such a collaboration would meet our common goal and mission, as well as further advance networking opportunities between Malaysia and Australia,” MCACA president Chan Wei Ming said during his visit to Menara Star on Tuesday.
The GMN is an initiative by the Asian Centre for Media Studies and is supported by The Star.
It is aimed at enabling Malaysians to network and tap into the resources of their countrymen worldwide.
Malaysians, their family members and expatriates who have worked or are currently working in the country can participate in the network.
To date, over 4,000 people have signed up with GMN.
Chan said that among others, GMN could be promoted in Australia through MCACA.

“Unlike many other Malaysian organisations in Australia, MCACA hopes to promote the Malaysian community among Australians,” he said.
He said the club also caters to the welfare, social, corporate networking and political needs of Malaysians in Australia.
“As a non-profit organisation, MCACA is in a position to help individuals sort out problems when dealing with the government,” Chan said.
