Pak Lah in US to visit Endon
KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has left for the United States to visit his wife Datin Seri Endon Mahmood, who is undergoing treatment there.
A spokesman from his office said the prime minister was on leave until Aug 9. Abdullah was headed for Los Angeles and would be back at work on Aug 10, he said.
The Prime Minister had earlier told reporters he was scheduled to visit Endon after the recent Umno general assembly but his wife had asked him to stay back to attend the Walk With Pride charity dinner on Sunday, to read a speech on her behalf. – Bernama
