Seize the day, don’t lag behind others
MALAYSIANS really need to grow up. Sometimes we become so busy arguing about senseless things, we forget about things that really matter to us – peace, unity and life.
Many young Malaysians choose to migrate to other countries because they feel there are better prospects elsewhere. I am guilty of that myself.
We are losing out on talent, leaders and innovators of the future.
If nothing is done to check this, we will probably see only an aged community soon.
Even foreigners are writing about us as if they are mocking our country.
Malaysia is not a bad country. We have rich natural resources.
We are safe from most natural disasters and dangerously weird animals such as the black widow spider, Tasmanian devil and what not.
However there are many things the Government and the people need to address before we can become a developed country.
I hope I can see that change in my lifetime.
FIONA SIM,
Singapore.
