Dad and son die in car-truck collision

S. Uvanakumar, 28, who was trapped in the car, died on the spot, while his six-year-old son, whose name has yet to be established, died at a clinic in Bandar Country Homes here.
Another five people in the car and the truck driver suffered serious injuries.
Police have detained the truck driver to assist in investigations.

In Seremban, a teacher, believed to be a cancer patient on the way for a check-up in Kuala Lumpur, died in a car crash on the North-South Expressway.
Tan Ang Moy, 40, was flung out of the Proton Iswara that her husband Teh Yoke Keong, also 40, was driving at 9.30am yesterday.
The incident took place at the 284.9th kilometre of the expressway when the car crashed into a road embankment.
