Indian actor Akshaye Khanna says ambition drives his life
BOMBAY, India (AP) - Bollywood actor Akshaye Khanna says ambition is the driving force of his life and he strives to act in quality movies, a newspaper reported Monday.
"I want to work with successful people ... I want to be a part of good cinema, which should be different,'' the Hindustan Times newspaper quoted Khanna as saying.
"I am extremely ambitious and there is very little I care about besides this. This is my life,'' he said.
Khanna, the son of well-known Indian actor Vinod Khanna, is known for playing roles with strong characters and has so far appeared in more than 20 Bollywood movies.
He has won praise for comic roles in his recently released movies "36 China Town'' and "Shaadi Se Pehle'' (Before Marriage), but the films didn't do too well at the box office.
The actor shot to fame seven years ago with movies such as "Dil Chahta Hai'' (What the heart desires) and "Taal'' (Pond).-AP
