Russian found dead along expressway

KUALA LUMPUR: A 30-year-old Russian was found dead with his head crushed on a flyover along the Kuala Lumpur-Seremban Express- way near the Sungai Besi Air Force Base here.

Universiti Malaya student Mago- med Ausheu's body was found 100m from an abandoned car in which he was believed to have been travelling.

His body was found by road-users at about 2am yesterday.

Police, however, are baffled how Magomed, who is believed to have been in the front passenger seat, died because there was no sign of him having been thrown out of the vehicle.

Based on a 20m-long blood trail found on the railing of the flyover, it is believed that Magomed's head was outside the moving car and was crushed after being dragged against the railing.

Police who arrived at the scene found the front window of the passenger seat open. The left side of the vehicle was also damaged while its front windscreen was cracked.

It is believed Magomed’s body was thrown out of the car before the driver abandoned the vehicle about 100m away.

Police found a laptop, passport and several other important documents in the car. There were also several bottles of beer in the vehicle.

Dang Wangi OCPD Asist Comm Kamal Pasha Jamal said that police could only ascertain the actual cause of Magomed’s death once a post-mortem on him was completed at the Kuala Lumpur Hospital.

“However, at the moment we are investigating the case from the angles of both murder and accident,” he said.
