Husband and wife to pursue degree together

HAVING gone through secon-dary school and teachers’ training college together, a husband and wife will now complete their tertiary education together at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM).

Musa Jaafar and his wife Nor Azizan Sulaiman, both 52, will be pursuing a history degree under USM's Lifelong Education Programme for warga emas (se-nior citizens) which was introduced in 2004.

“When we sent our second son to USM, we listened to the university’s Menara Ilmu theme song. Now we are singing the same song and it moved us,” said Nor Azizan, headmist- ress of SK Semaseh in Muar, Jo-hor.

Her husband is a senior assistant in SK Gembut in Kota Tinggi.
