Eight hurt in navy bus crash
KOTA TINGGI: Eight people, including five women, were injured when a Royal Malaysian Navy bus crashed into a ravine and overturned in Sungai Rengit here.
The bus was on the way to Teluk Sengat to send 35 navy personnel to a function when the mishap occurred at 4.30pm.
It is learnt that the bus driver had attempted to avoid crashing into another navy truck, which was parked on the road shoulder, during a downpour.
Police said the truck driver had stopped to put up the canvas. He escaped unhurt.
The injured were admitted to the hospital for treatment. Their condition was reported to be stable.
