Tycoon’s wife to belly dance for charity
PUAN Sri Chelsia Cheng, wife of tycoon Tan Sri Willian Cheng, will perform a belly dance to raise RM1mil to be donated to charities, China Press reported.
Chelsia, a popular artiste in the 70s, made the statement when asked on how to raise more money for such causes.
“I am not very good in this but this will be my challenge to raise more money,” Chelsia said at the Tzu Chi Charity Sales which was held at the Bukit Jalil Stadium car park.
She had earlier said at her birthday celebration last Friday that if she managed to raise RM500,000 before her next birthday, she would like her husband to donate the same amount for charity.
Chelsia raised RM2,000 within three hours by selling Chinese calligraphy pieces by her at the event on Sunday.
Tuition teacher slap Year Three pupil
> Sin Chew Daily reported that a tuition teacher slapped a Year Three pupil, leaving red marks on his face.
The boy’s parents telephoned the teacher to find out what had happened.
The teacher, from a tuition centre in Kluang, only apologised over the phone but refused to meet the parents.
The boy’s parents decided to approach the daily about the teacher’s act to prevent such incident from happening to other students.
