Zass!! offers world’s first mobile hair salon
By VIVIENNE PAL
KUALA LUMPUR: Taking a bus will soon be a new experience, especially since it will have nothing to do with going from one place to another.
This refers, more specifically, to a red, vintage-looking bus with the words "Zass!!" emblazoned on its sides.
According to founder Fara La’jam, Zass!! is the first mobile hair salon in the world, and it will be zipping around town offering hair-styling services to Klang Valley residents.
“We are a mobile hair salon and we move from location to location on a daily basis,” said Fara during a soft launch of the service at Craven Cafe, Ampang, Sunday.

The mobile unit willl, first and foremost, offer basic hairstyling service (dry-cut and blowing for four clients at any one time) at only RM8.
The first batch of hairstylists on the bus are children of Felda settlers who had graduated from hair-styling schools and will be trained to manage business expansion.
Fara aims to eventually employ the disabled and single mothers, too.
In addition, RM1 from each haircut will be channelled to a student welfare fund for the various universities hosting the mobile unit.
