Just answer allegations, Pak Lah tells Johari
KEPALA BATAS: Give an answer to allegations of bribery without accusing or blaming others this is what Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi wants Deputy Internal Security Minister Datuk Johari Baharom to do.
Now that there are allegations, answer the allegations one by one. No need to accuse other people. Just answer all the questions, he told reporters after launching the national-level Perkampungan Hadhari programme at Dewan Milenium here yesterday.
Abdullah said Johari must clarify everything. If he (Johari) says he is innocent, then Alhamdulillah (thank God), he said.
Abdullah said this when asked to comment on the Anti-Corruption Agencys investigation into allegations that Johari had received more than RM5mil to release at least three suspects arrested under the Emergency Ordinance.
On the impending by-election in Machap following the death of its assemblyman Datuk Wira Poh Ah Tiam, the Prime Minister said the Barisan Nasional would name a candidate in due time.
