Cop killed in crash after man kicks his bike
TAPAH: Two policemen on crime prevention rounds saw a suspicious-looking man speeding off on a motorcycle and gave chase.
After 10km, Kons Harry Sim, 21 (pic), caught up with the man, who kicked his motorcycle.
Kons Sim lost control of his machine and crashed into an oncoming trailer.
He died on the way to the hospital in the 12.50am incident.
Perak Special Branch chief Senior Asst Comm II Dr Abdul Rahman Ismail said the policemen had come across the man trying to break into a car in town.
“When the suspect saw them, he sped off and they chased after him,” he told a press conference here yesterday.
