Altantuya murder trial: Witness says she was threatened
Prosecution witness L/Kpl Rohaniza Roslan caused another stir at the Altantuya Shaariibuu murder trial when she told the High Court she was threatened on June 11 that she would be shot if she testified as a witness.
On Monday, the prosecution moved to impeach the credibility of its star witness after it said there were material contradictions between her testimony and her statement to the police.
A police report for perjury was also lodged against the 29-year-old policewoman, who had been subpoenaed to testify against her old flame C/Insp Azilah Hadri.
BERNAMA reports that Rohaniza said she received the threat through the telephone from a man.
She, however, could not recognise the caller's voice or his telephone number registered on the screen of her handphone.
Rohaniza said she later lodged a police report over the threat on the same day.
