JOHOR BARU: Police have identified the two men found murdered in a palm oil estate on Thursday.

Johor Baru (South) OCPD Asst Comm Zainuddin Yaacob said that the victims were both from Bidong, Kedah. They have been identified as A. Puvaneshweran, 24, and R. Ganapathy, 20.

It is learnt that the two youths had come to Johor two months ago to work in Singapore.

Their bodies, with slashed wounds, were discovered by a group of plantation workers at a plantation in Sungai Plentong at around 10am on Sept 21.

ACP Zainuddin said that the police have not established a motive for the murder yet and that the post-mortem details would be ready in a few days.
